As one the largest manufacturers of wood burning stoves in the UK, we are continuously developing existing and exciting new stove products. Unfortunately over time, a decision has to be made about viability of the continued manufacture of any product. There are many reasons to affect continued production such as changes in the demands of the stove market, improved manufacturing processes, or even due to changes in environmental regulations. There will be a time when every product will have reached a point where product manufactured must end.
Since 2011 we have regrettably had to take the decision to cease manufacturing so many popular ranges such as those from marketed under the Villager and Aarrow brands. The manufacture of so many highly regarded stoves models such as the Villager A Flat, B Flat and C Flat, Bayswater, or Aarrow-branded models such as Signature, Sherborne, our hugely popular first generation Ecoburn and second generation (Ecoburn Plus) plus many others have ceased manufacture.
'Planned Obsolesence?'
Not at all. As the manufacturer we stand by our products by supporting their guarantees for as long as is practicable, which means not only long-term customer service and technical support, but also the continued supply of consumables, spare parts and accessories for as long as is realistically achievable.
To date, we still stock so many spares for products that ceased manufacture over a dozen or more years ago. Sadly, due to the nature of some products it is impossible to be able continue to source all spares indefinitely, but we will always try our absolute best to do so!
